Olite, Ujué, monastery of la Oliva

This route takes us to three emblematic places in Navarre. The first stop is Ujué, from San Martín de Unx, medieval defensive enclave built around the Church-fortress of Santa Maria. At Olite, headquarters of the Navarrese monarchs in the middle ages, we find palaces and Manor House… the spectacular castle / Royal Palace built by Carlos III the nobre. To finish the tour, we suggest to visit the monastery of la Oliva, inhabited by Cistercian monks and where we can attend the liturgies sung by the monks in vernacular tongue.
